POWER OF PROJECTION
The number one skill required to perform any job competently is the ability to communicate thoughts and ideas to others in a manner that is understood and conveyed accurately. Not all of us are born with exceptional communicating skills, so in order to effectively share our insights and influence others we require the proper skills, tools, and techniques to deliver our message with confidence. Like any newly acquired skill we strive to improve, it requires commitment and practice to build our expertise and ability to deliver.
The Power of Projection program is delivered over two days and helps enhance the confidence and skill levels required to exude exceptional communication skills. Whether it is indirect and over the phone, direct one-on- one communication, a formal presentation, an in-house company meeting, or throughout your ongoing interactions, we can help build the skills you need to influence others and leave a lasting impression of your key messages and values.
One of the most common fears that connects us as human beings is our fear of public speaking. That fear is vaporized by planning ahead, preparing and organizing our thoughts and message. Lastly, let’s not minimize the importance of practicing our message, over and over again until you get it just right. Athlete’s practice hours a day on perfecting their skills so why don’t we as business professionals?
The program is run with a maximum of ten people, allowing the opportunity for extensive support for each individual, while encouraging a good exchange of ideas and experiences. It is run over two consecutive days that provides for enhanced individual learning opportunities and feedback. If required, there is an option to add in a third day for observation, coaching, and feedback three to four weeks later. This allows time for individuals to put into practise the skills they have learned as it generally takes twenty-one days to change a habit and embed newly acquired skills and behaviours.
A critical ingredient that makes this program successful is that the participants learn and practice their communication skills through individual and group exercises coupled with personalized coaching and feedback.
